Prepare to be held hostage when the 7th Author Evening series at the Southwest Florida Museum of History welcomes author Lisa Black.
On March 11, 2009 join us as Black, a local crime writer and forensic scientist shares her latest thriller Takeover. The event is held at the Museum on the 2nd Wednesday of each month from 7 - 9 PM from September thru April.
This evening includes coffee, dessert from Mason's Bakery, the featured author presentation, a meet-and-greet book signing and admission to the Museum, all for just $10, tax deductible. Billed as this year's most suspenseful novel, Takeover is a stunning thriller by a writer who possesses the lethal combination of talent and real-life forensic experience.
Forensic scientist Theresa MacLean is investigating an early morning homicide when her fiancé is taken hostage in a robbery at the Federal Reserve Bank. Theresa and the police negotiators set up in the Cleveland public library and though she’s totally out of her element, she still puts her scientific abilities to use. Author Lisa Black is a forensic specialist for the Cape Coral Police Department where she analyzes and is responsible for fingerprinting and photography of crime scenes, processing of items of evidence for latent prints, latent print comparisons and blood spatter patterns.
